Elise KiSu Art
Elise is a painter and illustrator based in Grand Rapids, MI. She creates alluring paintings and endearing illustrations for a range of clients, all with a playful and cozy aesthetic.
KiSu is my middle name; I was named after my Korean grandma, and I am so honored to carry a piece of her with me.
Fun fact- when I studied abroad in Tanzania, I learned that “kisu” means “knife” in Swahili… my nickname was “knife” from then on.
My favorite things to paint & illustrate are plants and animals! Many of those that appear in my paintings and illustrations are inspired by the plants and animals I have at home!
